Mercedes-AMG today (Wednesday, May 20, 2026) unveiled the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, an all-new electric model that showcases the next generation of the brand's performance vehicles.
This is the first model based on the company's new AMG.EA platform, with an advanced powertrain that includes up to three Axial-Flux engines and technologies developed inspired by Formula 1. The estimated price of the model in the US will probably start at $140,000, and go up to $210,000, depending on the trim level.

The performance accordingly: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds and a top speed of up to 300 km/h.
One of the key innovations in the model is the new drive system with three Axial-Flux electric motors, two at the rear and one at the front. According to Mercedes, this technology provides extremely high continuous power, fast responses and the ability to maintain high performance over time, even under load.

According to the manufacturer, the driving range is up to 696 kilometers, while DC charging with a power of up to 600 kW allows for an additional 460 kilometers of range in just ten minutes. Charging from 10% to 80% takes about 11 minutes.
Mercedes emphasizes that the battery cooling system was developed specifically for high performance and includes direct cooling for each of the battery cells, in order to maintain stability even during strenuous driving.

The vehicle also features active aerodynamics systems and the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, which are designed to combine ride comfort with high dynamic capability.
Mercedes also tried to preserve the driving feel associated with AMG models with V8 engines. In the AMG FORCE S+ driving mode, the car produces a sound that simulates a traditional V8 engine, including an artificial "gear shifting" feeling and a driving experience that simulates a classic performance car, even though it is a fully electric vehicle.
