Air Serbia resumed direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto late last week, restoring direct air service between Serbia and Canada for the first time in more than three decades.
The new line will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft from the company's fleet.
The inaugural flight took off from Belgrade in a festive ceremony attended by representatives of the Serbian government, the Canadian Embassy, Air Serbia management, and members of the aviation and tourism industry.

Toronto is our third destination in North America, alongside New York and Chicago, further strengthening our intercontinental presence and contributing to the development of Belgrade as an important hub connecting Europe and North America.”
The company noted that demand for the first flights was particularly high, with impressive occupancy rates, a figure that reinforces the assessment that this is a significant strategic move for the company and for Belgrade's position as a connectivity hub between Europe and North America.
In recent years, Air Serbia has continued to expand its international operations, invest in its fleet, and strengthen its position as Serbia's flagship airline.
