American development company Mortenson Development has announced the launch of a new hotel project in Las Vegas, which will include a combined AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott brands. The project will be built on Paradise Street, adjacent to the city's convention center, one of the largest and busiest exhibition and event centers in the United States.

The company has completed the purchase of the land and the closing of financing for construction, with construction work expected to begin as early as next week, on June 15. The hotel is scheduled to open in the summer of 2028.

The new hotel will cover an area of approximately 21,640 square meters and will include a total of 397 rooms. Of these, 237 rooms will be operated under the AC Hotel brand, known for its modern, European-inspired design, and 160 suites will be operated under the Residence Inn brand, which specializes in long-stay accommodations and offers comfortable living solutions for guests staying in the city for extended periods.

According to the construction company's announcement, the project reflects the company's confidence in the strength of the Las Vegas tourism and convention market and the growing demand for flexible hotels tailored to a variety of travelers, from conference participants and business travelers to leisure tourists and long-stay guests.

In addition, a pool complex will be built on the roof of the building, which will include a bar, patio and AC Hotel lounge with a panoramic view of the Strip.

The company's announcement did not specify whether the hotel will include a casino complex, one of the most prominent symbols of Las Vegas, but based on what has been happening in recent years and the desire to change the face of the city, it is not impossible that the new hotel will avoid building a gambling complex.

The hotel's location, just steps from the convention center and close to the city's hotel and entertainment strip, is expected to make it one of the most significant hotel additions in the area in the coming years, further strengthening Las Vegas' position as one of the world's leading convention and tourism capitals.
