Prague Airport reported strong financial performance for 2025, recording an EBITDA operating profit of 5.1 billion CZK (€210 million) compared to CZK 4.3 billion in 2024, and a net profit of 3.2 billion CZK from 2.5 billion CZK in 2024.
Alongside its results, the airport confirmed it has continued its comprehensive modernization program to upgrade infrastructure and improve the overall passenger experience, with new visual concepts already unveiled for the airport's future design.
A key development in enhancing passenger comfort is the expansion of premium lounge services through a new partnership with Česká spořitelna. Starting July 1, 2026, a new Erste Premier Lounge will open in Terminal 1 following a recently signed five-year agreement between the bank and the airport.
The new lounge builds on the existing Erste Premier Lounge in Terminal 2, making Česká spořitelna the only bank in the Czech market to operate branded premium lounges in both airport terminals. The service is available to Erste Premier and Erste Private Banking clients and is designed to improve comfort for travelers departing both within and outside the Schengen Area.
According to Lukáš Krch of Česká spořitelna, the expansion reflects both a long-term partnership with Prague Airport and rising demand for higher-quality travel experiences. He noted that the new Terminal 1 lounge will complement the existing facilities and provide additional convenience for passengers on international routes.
Pavel Kratochvíl, head of Erste Premier services, added that the existing Terminal 2 lounge already serves nearly 100,000 clients annually and is highly valued for its quiet atmosphere, work-friendly spaces, and premium amenities. He said the goal is to extend that same level of comfort to passengers traveling outside the Schengen zone.
Prague Airport also highlighted its collaboration with Česká spořitelna following a competitive tender process. Jaroslav Petržela, a member of the airport’s board of directors, said the partnership strengthens ties with one of the region’s largest financial groups and supports efforts to raise service standards through innovation and modern technology.
The new Terminal 1 lounge will introduce additional digital features, including an AI-powered assistant in the form of a digital avatar, gaming areas, and online booking through the George app. Meanwhile, the existing Terminal 2 lounge continues to offer a full premium experience with dining and bar service, workspaces, relaxation zones, showers, an outdoor terrace, and a children’s play area.
