Under the program, visitors will automatically receive medical insurance coverage for up to 15 days during their stay in the UAE. There is no need to complete a separate application, as the coverage is included with qualifying Etihad tickets.
The offer applies to passengers whose journey both originates and is purchased outside the UAE. Travelers taking advantage of Etihad's stopover program in Abu Dhabi will also be covered for the duration of their stay.
Tourism officials say the initiative is aimed at enhancing the visitor experience as Abu Dhabi continues to attract growing numbers of international travelers.

Etihad Chief Executive Officer Antonoaldo Neves described the move as another step toward simplifying travel and ensuring guests can focus on enjoying everything Abu Dhabi has to offer rather than worrying about unexpected medical expenses.
The insurance coverage will be provided and administered by Daman, one of the UAE's largest health insurers. According to the company, travelers covered under the scheme will have access to an extensive network of healthcare providers across the country.
The announcement comes as Abu Dhabi continues investing heavily in tourism, promoting attractions such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island to international visitors.
