British Airways has announced a new codeshare agreement with Canadian carrier Porter Airlines, expanding travel options between the United Kingdom and Canada and offering passengers seamless access to 17 Canadian destinations via a single booking.

The partnership allows British Airways customers to connect through Toronto or Montreal onto Porter Airlines’ domestic network, simplifying onward travel across Canada. Destinations now available under the agreement include major cities such as Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Halifax, as well as regional hubs including St John’s, Kelowna and Thunder Bay.

The airline said the move strengthens connectivity between London and Canada, enabling passengers to book entire journeys in one transaction through ba.com. The agreement also enhances flexibility for travellers exploring Canada’s east and west coasts, from Victoria on the Pacific to St John’s on the Atlantic.

Members of the British Airways Club will also benefit from the partnership, with the ability to earn Avios points and tier credits when travelling on eligible Porter Airlines flights.

Porter Airlines, headquartered in Toronto, operates a network of more than 40 destinations across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The airline is known for its “Elevated Economy” service, which includes complimentary drinks served in glassware, premium snacks, two-by-two seating with no middle seats, and free high-speed Wi-Fi onboard.

“We are delighted to launch this codeshare with Porter Airlines, meaning British Airways customers can now book flights on Porter Airlines’ network with convenience and ease,” he said.

Edmond Eldebs, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Porter Airlines, said the agreement reflects a shared focus on passenger experience.

“It is our pleasure to welcome British Airways customers to the Porter experience,” he said. “This codeshare agreement reflects our shared commitment to making travel seamless and enjoyable.”

The codeshare flights are available to book now for travel from 8 July, marking a further expansion of British Airways’ North American connectivity and strengthening ties between the two carriers.
