26 New Routes in Two Weeks: easyJet Takes the Aviation World by Storm

The company expanded its winter network with new routes to Germany, Egypt, Morocco, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Norway and Switzerland, launching 26 routes in two weeks

The low-cost airline easyJet keeps expanding its network of destinations and announced on Thursday, June 25, 20206, the launch of 13 new routes that will begin operating during the upcoming winter season from ten airports across the United Kingdom.

Among the notable news is the company's first entry into the city of Nuremberg, Germany, with direct flights from London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester. The city, considered the capital of the Franconia region, is best known for one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in Europe.

In addition, easyJet will launch new routes to additional destinations including Rabat in Morocco, Lyon in France, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Budapest in Hungary from three different airports in the UK, Vienna, Krakow, Tromsø in Norway as well as Geneva, the company's first international route from the Isle of Man.

Among the new routes, the first ever direct route between Edinburgh and Tromsø, known as the "Gateway to the Arctic", as well as easyJet's first route from the airport on the Isle of Man to Switzerland, also stands out.

In total, easyJet has launched 26 new winter routes over the past two weeks, as part of expanding its operations in the UK and increasing the variety of destinations for the company's passengers.

At the same time, the tourism arm easyJet Holidays will market vacation packages on most of the new routes, including flight, hotel, 23 kg suitcase and transfers at coastal destinations, with the aim of further strengthening the company's activity in the European vacation market.
