Suspected Terror Attack in Germany: 5 Dead in Shooting Near Hamburg

Police in Stade, Germany say five people were killed and others injured in a shooting at a youth welfare facility, with two suspects arrested and no public danger

The local police in the city of Stade, Germany, announced that an operation is underway at the scene of a shooting incident.

A police statement asked passers-by to avoid the area for safety reasons and follow the instructions of the emergency teams on site.

A recent update from the police confirms that "a homicide has occurred at a youth welfare facility on Dankersstraße involving multiple victims.

At this stage, five people have been fatally injured, and additional individuals have sustained injuries.

As part of the immediately initiated search and operational measures, two suspected individuals, including the alleged shooter, have been arrested."

Investigations into the background as well as the sequence of events are ongoing, added the police, which confirmed there is no danger to the public.
