As previouly announced, Etihad Airways is getting ready for its largest summer season yet, with over 300 daily flights and massive network expansion.

The award-winning airline has today, July 1, 2026, announced it would further expand its international network with increased flight frequencies, extended seasonal services, and the confirmation of a year-round route between Abu Dhabi and Dhaka, in response to the sustained demand across multiple markets.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier said the adjustments reflect strong performance across both leisure and business travel segments, with capacity being added where demand has remained consistently high.

One of the most significant changes is the Abu Dhabi–Dhaka route, which has now been confirmed as a year-round service following a sold-out launch flight on June 26. Operated four times per week on a Boeing 777, the route serves a major South Asian travel corridor and supports both passenger demand and cargo flows between the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh.

European Expansion

In Europe, Etihad is increasing frequency on several routes. Abu Dhabi–Brussels will rise to 11 weekly flights from December 15, 2026, up from seven, offering travelers more flexibility across the week. The service will be operated using Airbus A321LR aircraft configured with First, Business and Economy cabins.

Abu Dhabi–Kraków will also see growth, increasing to four weekly flights from 27 July 2026, up from three, reflecting rising demand for travel to southern Poland. The seasonal route connects Abu Dhabi with one of Poland’s most visited cultural cities.

Several seasonal leisure destinations are also seeing extended schedules. Etihad’s Abu Dhabi–Zanzibar service has been extended through March 31, 2027, significantly beyond its original September end date, while Abu Dhabi–Palma de Mallorca will now operate until October 18, 2026, giving travelers a longer window to visit the Balearic island.

Etihad Airways Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer Arik De said demand has exceeded expectations across diverse markets. He added that the airline is responding by increasing capacity where needed, strengthening connectivity through Abu Dhabi while supporting inbound tourism.

The airline said the expansion reflects its broader growth strategy as it continues to scale its fleet and strengthen its global network.
