Etihad Airways, the United Arab Emirates' flagship airline that recently introduced complimentary medical travel insurance for international visitors flying to Abu Dhabi, is gearing up for its biggest summer season ever.
The company has announced it will operate more than 300 daily flights, near-record passenger loads, and the launch or return of nine destinations within just a few days.
Amid constantly growing demand for travel to, from and through the UAE capital, and supported by a larger fleet, Etihad's summer capacity will be up 10% compared to last year. The airline's fleet has grown by 23 aircraft.

"We are operating more than 300 flights a day, carrying near-record loads and connecting Abu Dhabi with more destinations than ever before."
He added that the launch of four new routes and the return of five seasonal services in the same week highlights both strong travel demand and the airline's continued expansion.
"As we enter the peak summer travel period, we are delivering our most ambitious summer program yet," Neves said. "Supported by 23 additional aircraft and strong demand from across the world, we continue to grow with confidence."
The expansion strengthens Abu Dhabi's position as a major international gateway, linking travelers with destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean.
