Travelers using London Stansted Airport will soon have access to overnight rail connections after Stansted Express announced the launch of a new late-night service as part of a three-month trial.
Trains Will Operate on Fridays and Saturdays
Beginning on Friday, July 3, 2026, the operator will introduce an additional 18 overnight train services, providing passengers with around-the-clock rail access between the airport and central London during the busiest weekend travel period.
The trial will operate on Friday nights and into Saturday mornings, with trains departing every 30 minutes, making it easier for passengers catching early morning departures or arriving on late-night flights.

Passengers will also benefit from convenient onward connections via Transport for London's Night Tube, which operates on Friday evenings and links the Stansted Express route with destinations across the capital.
While the overnight timetable adds extra services, passengers should note that some existing Stansted Express train times will also change during the trial period.
Airport officials said the initiative aims to provide more convenient transport options and improve the overall travel experience for passengers using London Stansted during peak weekend periods.
The three-month trial will help assess demand for overnight rail services and could influence future transport planning at the airport.
