Eurostar passengers traveling between the United Kingdom and the Netherlands are facing major disruption after a fire near Rotterdam Centraal damaged railway infrastructure.

The operator has advised customers to postpone or cancel journeys on Eurostar services in the Netherlands until at least July 4, 2026, as trains are being diverted onto alternative routes.

The fire has resulted in significantly longer journey times, with rail traffic affected around one of the Netherlands' busiest railway hubs.

Passengers traveling between London and Dutch destinations, including Rotterdam and Amsterdam, are urged to check the status of their services before leaving for the station, as delays and timetable changes are expected to continue while repairs are carried out.

Eurostar said services that do operate will take alternative routes, increasing travel times until the damaged infrastructure can be restored.

Travelers are encouraged to monitor the latest updates from Eurostar and their travel operators before beginning their journey.

The disruption comes during the busy summer travel season, when demand for cross-Channel rail services is typically high.
