Photo: © Leonardo Hotels The historic Badischer Hof in Baden-Baden, Germany, has once again opened its gates to welcome guests after a reopening under the Leonardo Hotels brand. One of the spa town's best-known hotels is back, joining Leonardo Limited Edition, the hotel group's collection of historic and character-rich hotels, retaining both its traditional name and its independent identity.
The reopening follows a soft launch that began on July 1, 2026, with an official grand opening ceremony scheduled for autumn 2026.
The Badischer Hof is known as one of Baden-Baden's oldest hotels, often associated with the city's reputation as a popular European spa destination. The property has played an essential role in the town's hospitality history, reflecting its heritage of spa culture and historic architecture.
According to Leonardo Hotels, the reopening of the only hotel in Baden-Baden with thermal water pools combines its historic character with the service standards of an international hotel group while preserving its unique identity.
"The Badischer Hof is a hotel with an extraordinary history which is also of huge significance to Baden-Baden," commented Thomas Feig, the hotel's General Manager.
"We are delighted to be reopening this highly traditional location and are very much looking forward to receiving our first guests. Our aim is to preserve the character and identity of the hotel whilst also creating a contemporary guest experience," he added.
The reopening expands Leonardo Hotels' presence in Germany while bringing one of Baden-Baden's landmark hotels back into operation after its restoration.
