An Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX carrying passengers from Los Angeles to Montréal veered off the taxiway after landing at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport on Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2026. The airline said the incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. local time.

Air Canada, which recently appointed Anko Van der Werff as President and Chief Executive Officer, confirmed there were no reported injuries, and all passengers and crew safely disembarked the aircraft before being transported to the terminal.

"All passengers and crew on AC774 have been deplaned and are in the terminal," said the airline's latest update.

The airline has not yet disclosed what caused the aircraft to exit the taxiway, and the incident is expected to be investigated.
