On Tuesday evening (July 14, 2026), Prague Airport made an announcement following the publication of a new Information Note regarding the threat and risk situation in the airspace of the Middle East and Persian Gulf.
The airport informed passengers that it is not aware of any flight cancellations to destinations in the Gulf region following the new safety notice issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
"In connection with today's recommendation issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), we are not currently aware of any flight cancellations to destinations in the Gulf region," the airport explained.
The EASA notice, issued on July 14 and valid through August 31, 2026, advises civil air operators to consider potential risks when conducting their own safety assessments and making routing decisions for flights operating in the airspace of Israel (Tel Aviv FIR), Jordan (Amman FIR), Oman (Muscat FIR), and Saudi Arabia (Jeddah FIR).
The agency's notice does not prohibit flights or recommend avoiding the affected airspace. Instead, it leaves airlines responsible for evaluating operational risks and determining whether any schedule or route adjustments are necessary.
Prague Airport's statement suggests that, at least for now, the advisory has not affected services from the Czech capital to Gulf destinations.
The latest EASA guidance reflects the agency's ongoing monitoring of security developments in the Middle East, where tensions in recent months have prompted periodic updates to conflict zone advisories and operational recommendations.
Passengers traveling to the Gulf region are encouraged to check with their airlines for the latest flight information. However, as of Tuesday night, Prague Airport said all scheduled services to the region were continuing as planned.
