England vs. Argentina: Which Country Wins? (Not Just in Football)

One is the capital of the United Kingdom, the other is the capital of one of the most beautiful countries in South America. Tonight's World Cup match (July 15, 2026) will bring together two football powers whose trips to them are completely different from each other.

Almost every visit to England starts in London and a visit to Argentina in Buenos Aires. Both are great capital cities. But even in England and certainly in Argentina, it is recommended and desirable to go for a walk outside the big city.

Argentina

1. Perito Moreno Glacier

2. Bariloche

The city of Bariloche is considered one of the most beautiful natural destinations in Argentina. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes and forests, it is a starting point for hiking, boating and scenic drives.

3. Mendoza

The wine capital of Argentina. Wineries at the foot of the Andes, Malbec wine tastings and vineyard views.

4. Iguazu Falls

One of the most impressive sites in South America, with hundreds of waterfalls in the heart of a tropical rainforest, near the border with Brazil.

5. El Chalten

The small mountain town in southern Patagonia is considered the trekking capital of Argentina and one of the most sought-after destinations among nature lovers. The town is located in Los Glaciares National Park and serves as a starting point for hiking trails of varying difficulty levels, including the famous route to Laguna de los Tres, from which you can enjoy the iconic view of Mount Fitz Roy.

1. Lake District

England's Lake District, with its mountainous landscapes, lakes and picturesque villages, is a perfect destination for walking, sailing and nature holidays.

2. Bath

A historic city known for its Roman baths, Georgian architecture and elegant atmosphere, it is perfect for a mix of culture, history and cuisine.

3. York

4. Liverpool

The port city has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK. It is associated with the Beatles, has museums, the historic Albert Dock, a vibrant nightlife, and of course is a pilgrimage site for football fans thanks to the stadiums of Liverpool and Everton.

5. Cotswolds

A magical countryside area characterized by traditional stone villages, rolling green hills and classic English pubs. One of the most popular areas for road trips in England.

So who will win tonight in the World Cup semi-final? In soccer, there is only one winner. In travel, both countries win, and by a large margin.
