Most travelers worry about security lines and gate changes, but few realize they may be walking through a movie set. From Jackie Chan racing through Charles de Gaaulle Airport to Hugh Grant's emotional reunion at Heathrow, airports have played starring roles in some of cinema's most memorable moments.

Paris airports are reminding travelers that they may be passing through some of the world's most recognizable movie sets.

In a recent social media post, Paris Aéroport invited passengers to discover the behind-the-scenes world of film production at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly, highlighting the work of Cyrille Cuvillier, who regularly assists production crews operating at the airports.

It turns out airports across the French capital have a long and impressive relationship with cinema. According to Groupe ADP, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly, and Paris-Le Bourget collectively welcome dozens of productions every year, ranging from commercials and music videos to major international films and streaming series. Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget host around 40 productions annually, while Orly adds another 20.

Charles de Gaulle Airport, one of Europe's busiest aviation hubs, has featured in a number of well-known productions over the decades.

The airport has also appeared in The Pink Panther 2, Frantic with Harrison Ford, and the French classic La Boum. Even U2 used the airport as the backdrop for its music video "Beautiful Day."

Paris Orly has an equally rich cinematic history. The airport appeared in Jean-Luc Godard's iconic Breathless (À Bout de Souffle) and has inspired countless French filmmakers over the years. In fact, Orly has become so ingrained in French culture that it has inspired songs, books, and television series dating back to the 1950s.

Paris is far from alone when it comes to airports stealing scenes. London's Heathrow is forever linked to the opening and closing moments of Love Actually, while Washington Dulles became the setting for Die Hard 2.

New York's JFK inspired Steven Spielberg's The Terminal, and airports across North America played major roles in Up in the Air starring George Clooney.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport was also featured in the iconic Home Alone and Planes, Trains and Automobiles, as well as Puff Daddy and Faith Evans' "I'll Be Missing You" music video in the neon-lit underground moving walkway tunnel connecting Concourses B and C in Terminal 1.

Los Angeles International Airport also hosted the production of popular movies like The Graduate (1967), Speed, Heat, Fight Club, and Catch Me If You Can. The airport also witnessed The Backstreet Boys shooting their iconic "I Want It That Way" video mostly in the Tom Bradley International Terminal and a local LAX hangar.
