ITA Airways and Aeroitalia are launching flight sales under a new interline agreement, which will allow passengers to combine flights from both companies on one route and significantly expand connectivity options within Italy and later also to the international network.
The agreement, which will apply during the remainder of the 2026 summer season and winter 2026/27, already allows bookings through the ITA Airways website and its sales channels for integrated routes connecting the company's global network with destinations operated by Aeroitalia.

Among the destinations that will be included in the new connections: Cagliari, Allegro and Olbia in Sardinia; Catania, Palermo and Comiso in Sicily; and Genoa.
At the same time, through Aeroitalia's indirect sales channels, it will initially be possible to book onward routes to destinations in ITA Airways' domestic network, including Bari, Brindisi, Turin, Venice and Reggio Calabria.
Later, after the technological adjustments are completed, it will also be possible to purchase connecting tickets integrated with the entire international network of ITA Airways through the Aeroitalia website.
The launch of interline sales is the first joint initiative between the two airlines since they signed an agreement to develop commercial partnerships last June. The aim is to expand connectivity across Italy and improve travel options for passengers and tourists.
ITA Airways CEO and General Manager Joerg Eberhart said the company intends to continue to invest alongside Aeroitalia in improving its offering, while prioritizing customer needs. He said the partnership fits into the company’s strategy to expand the connections that feed its international and intercontinental network, along with greater coverage throughout Italy.
Aeroitalia CEO Gaetano Intrieri defined the move as a significant step in the company's growth and said that the connection between the two companies is intended to offer passengers more integrated and efficient travel solutions and expand accessibility throughout Italy.
