Azerbaijan's national airline, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), continues its expansion momentum and announced the receipt of a new Airbus A320neo aircraft, the fourth aircraft to join the company's fleet since the beginning of the year.

According to the company, by the end of 2026, it plans to take delivery of a record number of new aircraft, as part of its long-term strategy to increase the fleet to 50 aircraft by 2032.

AZAL explains that the fleet expansion is intended to respond to the growing demand for flights, enable the opening of new routes, and increase the frequency of flights in the company's international destination network.

The Airbus A320neo aircraft are considered more advanced and fuel-efficient than the previous generation, and also offer reduced emissions and lower noise levels, part of the renewal trend currently being led by many airlines around the world.

The company emphasizes that expanding the fleet is a central pillar of its growth strategy in the coming years, with the aim of strengthening international connectivity and continuing to expand its activities in the markets in which it operates.
