In a travel advisory shared on social media, the airport encouraged parents to plan ahead before arriving at the terminal. Travelers with children are advised to explore the airport's Little Flyers Club online for entertainment ideas and visit the Parent Zone for information about family-friendly facilities, restaurants, and services.
The airport also reminded passengers that baby milk can be pre-ordered through Boots' Click and Collect service, allowing parents to collect essentials after passing through security and reduce the amount they need to carry.
Baby changing facilities are available in both the arrivals and departures areas, with further details provided on the airport's website.
One of the key reminders concerns gel-filled squishy toys, including popular NeeDoh products. Stansted said these toys may be treated as liquids during security screening because of their gel contents. To avoid delays, passengers are advised to pack all but the smallest squishy toys in checked baggage rather than carry them through security.
