From Baku to Delhi and Mumbai: Air India Expands Network With New Partnership

Air India has today, August 3, 2o26, announced a new codeshare partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), giving travelers easier access to Baku while expanding connectivity between India and Azerbaijan.

The agreement builds on the airlines' existing interline partnership and allows passengers to book journeys to Baku on a single Air India ticket. Travelers will also benefit from smoother transfers and coordinated itineraries across both carriers' networks.

The new arrangement is designed to provide greater flexibility for passengers while simplifying travel between the two countries. In addition to nonstop connections to Azerbaijan's capital, the partnership enables onward travel through the broader route networks of both Air India and AZAL.

The airline noted that, by deepening relationships with international carriers, it aims to make it easier for travelers to reach more destinations worldwide while enjoying seamless connections throughout their journey.

The announcement comes as Air India continues to expand its international network and partnerships following its transformation program, with the carrier increasingly focusing on improving connectivity through alliances and commercial agreements with airlines across key global markets.
