American Airlines, Citi and Mastercard have announced a major refresh of the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard, introducing new travel, lifestyle and loyalty benefits worth up to $2,300 for frequent flyers.
Available for new cardmembers from August 23, 2026, the updated premium credit card is designed to help travelers earn AAdvantage status faster while providing enhanced airport, hotel and travel perks both on and off their journeys.
The revamped card continues to include Admirals Club membership, valued at up to $1,400 annually, offering unlimited access for the primary cardholder and up to two guests or immediate family members to more than 100 Admirals Club and partner lounges worldwide.
Among the new statement credits are up to $500 annually toward eligible American Airlines Vacations packages, up to $100 for eligible inflight and Admirals Club purchases, and up to $180 in Lyft credits after qualifying rides each month.
Cardholders will also earn 12 AAdvantage miles per dollar on eligible AAdvantage Hotels and AAdvantage Cars bookings, while new Loyalty Point milestones allow members to earn up to 40,000 bonus Loyalty Points each qualification year, doubling the previous maximum.
Beyond Flying
The card also introduces automatic Omni Hotels & Resorts Champion status, giving enrolled members perks such as room upgrades, early check-in and late checkout where available, plus the opportunity to earn an annual free night after a qualifying stay.
Primary cardholders can also enroll for Avis President's Club status through August 2028, providing benefits including vehicle upgrades, expedited airport rentals and complimentary additional drivers.
Existing benefits remain, including a free first checked bag for the cardholder and up to eight companions on domestic American Airlines itineraries, priority airport services, Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee reimbursement, travel protections and no foreign transaction fees.
American Airlines also highlighted continued investment in its premium lounge network, including the recently opened Admirals Club at Philadelphia International Airport, additional lounge projects planned at airports including Chicago O'Hare, Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, Washington National, Austin and Nashville, plus the expansion of its Provisions by Admirals Club grab-and-go concept.
