Passengers flying to Romania's biggest music festival and the third best festival in the world got the celebration started before they even landed, as AnimaWings transformed a regular flight into an airborne party on the opening day of UNTOLD 2026.

In a video shared on social media, the Romanian airline welcomed festivalgoers aboard with the message: "AnimaWings and UNTOLD welcome you aboard. The destination is Cluj-Napoca, the journey is UNTOLD and the party starts in the sky."

The flight featured a live DJ performance in the cabin, with passengers dancing, singing, and filming the unique experience as the aircraft headed to Cluj-Napoca, where the four-day festival officially opened on August 6. The onboard entertainment set the tone for thousands of music fans traveling to one of Europe's biggest electronic music events  "where music, magic and the best crowd in the world come together for 4 days and nights in Transylvania."

The collaboration highlights the growing partnership between airlines and major festivals, creating memorable travel experiences that begin long before passengers reach their destination.

UNTOLD, which takes place from August 6 to 9 in Cluj-Napoca, is widely recognized as one of the world's leading music festivals. This year's edition features an international lineup that includes Martin Garrix, Kygo, Marshmello, Steve Aoki, Sting, Lewis Capaldi, Flo Rida, Zara Larsson, Lost Frequencies, and Swae Lee, among many others.

The festival attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and has become one of Romania's biggest tourism events, generating a significant boost for hotels, restaurants, airlines, and local businesses across Cluj-Napoca.

For AnimaWings, the themed flight continues its strategy of supporting major events in Romania. Earlier this year, the carrier operated special flights for the Sports Festival in Cluj-Napoca, strengthening its presence as an airline partner for large-scale cultural and sporting events.

With festival season in full swing, the airline's latest initiative proves that sometimes the party doesn't begin at the festival gates, it starts at 35,000 feet.
