Security measures at Delhi Airport have been increased ahead of India’s Independence Day, with passengers warned that enhanced screening could take longer than usual.
The airport has today, August 12, advised travelers to arrive early and allow extra time for security procedures to avoid delays and last-minute stress.
Delhi Airport said its teams are working closely with security agencies to maintain safe and smooth operations during the heightened security period.
Passengers traveling through the airport in the run-up to August 15 should therefore expect additional screening measures and potentially longer processing times.
The advisory comes ahead of India’s Independence Day celebrations, when security arrangements are typically strengthened at major transport hubs and other key locations.
Travelers are encouraged to plan their journey in advance and factor additional time into their airport arrival schedule.
