Emirates A380. Photo: Emirates Emirates is giving travelers more flexibility when booking and changing flights, introducing unlimited free date changes for trips to Dubai, lower refund fees, and expanded travel insurance coverage .
From August 10, 2026, customers flying to Dubai can change their travel dates as many times as needed without a change fee, with the offer applying across a wide range of Economy and Business Class fares. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class fares will continue to offer full flexibility.
The airline has also reduced refund fees for selected fares to Dubai. Economy Saver refunds will cost US$50, while Economy Flex refunds will cost US$25. In Business Class, the fee is US$50 for Special and Saver fares and US$25 for Flex fares.
The changes are aimed at giving travelers greater control at a time when flight plans can be affected by changing schedules, personal circumstances and wider travel disruptions.
The flexibility extends beyond Dubai. Customers who booked tickets from April 2, 2026, can make one free date change on flights across the Emirates network, including itineraries connecting through Dubai.
Travelers can also hold a fare for 24 hours at no additional cost while finalizing their plans.
Emirates is also promoting its Comprehensive Travel Cover, an insurance product available in 27 countries. The policy includes coverage for trip cancellation, baggage delays and loss, unlimited worldwide medical expenses and emergency evacuation.
The airline says the cover also includes conflict-related protection, with reimbursement of medical expenses of up to $25,000 and a free trip extension of up to 30 days. Customers can purchase the coverage when booking through Emirates or add it later through Manage Booking.
For disrupted flights, Emirates says it can provide accommodation for affected passengers and arrange alternative travel when necessary. Customers whose onward connections on other airlines are affected may also be rebooked to their destination without additional charges.
Members of the Emirates Skywards loyalty program can also receive additional benefits through August 31.
The promotion includes 20% fewer Tier Miles needed to reach Silver, Gold and Platinum status, along with 20% bonus Tier Miles on Emirates and flydubai flights.
Members can also receive a special Cash+Miles rate of 2,000 Miles for US$30, double the usual value, when using Miles toward Emirates or flydubai flights, excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection.
