Today, August 12, 2026, the low-cost airline has announced a new five-year partnership with Google Cloud as a way of strengthening its technology infrastructure and supporting its ambitious passenger growth plans.
Under the agreement, Ryanair will deploy Google Workspace and Google Cloud services to 35,000 employees across its network. The airline said the technology will support its goal of carrying 300 million passengers annually by 2034 while improving operational efficiency and infrastructure resilience.
A key part of the partnership is Gemini Enterprise , Google Cloud's agentic AI platform. Ryanair plans to use the technology to connect organizational data, automate workflows and develop customized AI agents for different business needs.
The airline expects Gemini Enterprise to help automate decision-making and optimize flight crew logistics, while also supporting broader corporate productivity.
The partnership forms part of Ryanair's new dual-cloud strategy, which the airline says will provide additional infrastructure resilience as it expands its operations.
Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson said the airline needs resilient infrastructure and technology partners capable of keeping pace with its growth and focus on efficiency.
He said the partnership would put Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace in the hands of Ryanair employees while helping the carrier improve efficiency and strengthen its technology infrastructure.
Google Cloud Vice President for the UK, Ireland and Sub-Saharan Africa Maureen Costello described Ryanair as a leader in operational execution and said the partnership would support its broader AI transformation.
The companies said the deployment of generative AI alongside modern collaboration tools could help aviation companies scale securely and reduce operational costs.
For Ryanair, the agreement comes as the airline continues to expand its network and fleet while targeting significantly higher passenger volumes over the next decade.
