Frenc Polynesia. Photo: NCL Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened bookings for its Summer 2028 season, giving travelers early access to more than 450 voyages across 20 ships and nearly 150 destinations around the world.
The new season features cruises ranging from three to 14 days, departing from 25 homeports and visiting destinations across 51 countries. Major departure points include Miami, Seattle, Rome and London, with itineraries spanning Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, the South Pacific and beyond.
One of the key features of the 2028 program is the amount of time ships will spend in port. NCL says approximately 80% of each sailing will be spent in port, with the average port call exceeding 10 hours. The season also includes 175 overnight stays and late departures across 53 destinations, giving passengers more time to explore ashore.
Among the highlights is Great Stirrup Cay, NCL's private island in the Bahamas. The destination's Great Tides Waterpark features 19 waterslides, while Norwegian Aqua will spend its first full summer season offering three- and four-night roundtrip cruises from Miami.

Tidal Tower at Great Tides Waterpark. Photo: NCLNorwegian Aura will also operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami, while Norwegian Prima will return to Galveston for seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries.
Norwegian Luna is scheduled to operate a special 10-day repositioning cruise from Miami to New York in May 2028, including inaugural calls at Aruba, Curaçao and San Juan.
NCL is also expanding its European offering, with Norwegian Jewel making its debut in Morocco during a 12-day Canary Islands cruise from Barcelona. The itinerary includes calls at Casablanca and Agadir.
Norwegian Getaway will sail 10- and 11-day Northern Europe itineraries between London and Reykjavik, with destinations across Norway, Iceland, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
In the Mediterranean, Norwegian Dawn will make its first calls at Zadar, Croatia, and Cagliari, Sardinia, while Norwegian Viva will offer longer itineraries between destinations including Rome, Barcelona, Venice and Istanbul.
Several European itineraries also feature overnight stays or late departures in destinations such as Istanbul, Santorini, Mykonos and Livorno, allowing passengers more time to explore.

Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Joy will offer seven-day roundtrip sailings from Seattle, while Norwegian Jade will operate cruises between Vancouver and Whittier.
Further afield, Norwegian Spirit will offer 11- to 13-day South Pacific itineraries connecting destinations including Fiji, French Polynesia, Hawaii, Samoa, the Cook Islands, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.
NCL is encouraging travelers to book early, citing the wider choice of destinations, itineraries and accommodations available when the season first goes on sale.
The cruise line is also promoting an End of Summer Sale through August 18, 2026, offering 50% off cruises and up to $750 in onboard credit per stateroom on selected sailings. The promotion can be combined with NCL's Free at Sea package, subject to applicable terms.
With hundreds of voyages now available, Summer 2028 is already shaping up as one of NCL's most geographically diverse seasons, giving travelers options ranging from short Bahamas escapes to longer European, Alaskan and South Pacific adventures.
