American Airlines is marking 10 years of partnership with Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) with a new six-week campaign designed to raise funds for innovative cancer research.

The campaign, titled "Let's Go Further, Together," launches August 13, 2026, and features award-winning actress Lily Collins , SU2C researchers and American Airlines employees sharing personal stories connected to cancer.

Donations Can Earn Bonus AAdvantage Miles

From August 13 through September 30, 2026, customers who donate at least $25 to SU2C online can earn 25 AAdvantage bonus miles for every dollar donated.

There is also an enhanced offer for eligible AAdvantage Mastercard cardholders. Customers using their AAdvantage Mastercard to make qualifying donations of between $25 and $10,000 online can earn 50 bonus miles per dollar.

The enhanced offer will run through September 30 or until qualifying donations reach $5 million, whichever comes first.

The campaign combines fundraising with personal stories from people affected by cancer, highlighting the role of research in developing new treatments and improving outcomes for patients.

American Airlines Has Raised More Than $34 Million

American Airlines first partnered with Stand Up To Cancer in 2016. Since then, the airline says it has helped raise more than $34 million in support of the organization's research mission.

"We are proud to celebrate 10 years of our partnership with Stand Up To Cancer, but we know there is still work to be done to eradicate cancer forever," said Griffin Gonzalez, American's Director of Partnerships and Community.

SU2C was established in 2008 and supports collaborative cancer research involving multidisciplinary and multi-institutional teams. The organization aims to accelerate scientific discoveries and help bring new treatments to patients.

Rusty Robertson, Co-Founder of Stand Up To Cancer , said the partnership demonstrates what can happen when people come together around a common goal.

Lily Collins Joins the Campaign

Actress Lily Collins is among the participants featured in the campaign's public service announcement.

Collins said cancer has affected many lives and described the opportunity to support researchers, patients, families and communities as an important one.

The campaign will use the stories of SU2C researchers and American Airlines team members alongside Collins to encourage customers to contribute to the cause.

American Airlines has also previously used its aircraft to raise awareness of the partnership.

In 2019, the airline introduced a specially designed Airbus A321 featuring Stand Up To Cancer branding, along with the names of loved ones honored by customers and employees whose lives had been affected by cancer.

The aircraft continues to fly today, serving as a tribute to people affected by the disease.
