Photo: Shutterstock Emirates will introduce its Premium Economy cabin on two of its three daily flights between Mauritius and Dubai from September 1, 2026, giving travelers from Mauritius more choice and an upgraded option for journeys to Dubai and destinations across the airline’s global network.
The new cabin will be available on EK703/704, operated by an Emirates A380, and EK709/710, operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777. Both aircraft will operate in three-class configurations, combining Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

The Emirates A380 serving EK703/704 will feature 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats and 437 Economy Class seats.
The Boeing 777 operating EK709/710 will offer 38 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats and 214 Economy Class seats.
Dubai. Photo: ShutterstockThis means customers traveling between Mauritius and Dubai will have additional flexibility when choosing their cabin, with Premium Economy positioned between the airline’s Business and Economy offerings.
Oomar Ramtoola, Emirates’ Manager for the Indian Ocean Islands, said Mauritius remains an important market for the airline and described the introduction of Premium Economy as a demonstration of its continued commitment to Mauritian travelers and the country’s tourism industry.
He said the cabin is designed for customers seeking additional comfort and privacy on longer journeys, while the airline continues to expand its onboard offerings.
The new Mauritius service will also give travelers the opportunity to experience Emirates Premium Economy beyond Dubai.
According to Emirates, customers from Mauritius will be able to connect in Dubai and access the Premium Economy experience on routes to 70 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Among the destinations where customers can enjoy Premium Economy throughout the journey are selected flights to Bangkok and all six daily Emirates services to London Heathrow, among others.
The expanded availability comes as Emirates continues its rollout of Premium Economy across its network.
The cabin has been designed for travelers looking for more space and comfort than the standard Economy experience.
Each Premium Economy seat measures 19.5 inches and provides generous legroom and recline. Seats feature six-way adjustable headrests, footrests and in-seat charging points.
Passengers also have access to a wood-finished side cocktail table and a 13.3-inch personal entertainment screen.
The onboard dining experience includes a welcome drink served in fine glassware, while meals are prepared using seasonal ingredients and served on Royal Doulton china. An extended beverage selection is also available.
Additional amenities include sustainable amenity kits, blankets and larger pillows designed specifically for the Premium Economy cabin.
Travelers also receive priority boarding and access to a dedicated Premium Economy check-in area at Dubai International Airport.
Emirates has served Mauritius since 2002, supporting the island's tourism industry while promoting the destination to travelers across its global network.
The deployment of its newer cabin products to Mauritius represents another part of the airline's investment in the market.
Customers can book Premium Economy travel from Mauritius through Emirates' website, the Emirates Travel Store at The Docks 2, Caudan, or through their preferred travel agent.
