SWISS is upgrading its lounges in Zurich. Photo: SWISS SWISS will open two new lounges at Zurich Airport in the first quarter of 2027, replacing the existing lounges on Pier A. The new lounges, Business and Senator, will be located in a new building on the south side of Pier B.
The two lounges will cover a combined area of approximately 2,600 square meters, approximately 20% more than the current area. Each lounge will be on a separate floor and will include spacious seating areas, open space, large windows, and natural light.
In addition to the rest areas, passengers will have access to approximately 20 soundproof workstations. The new location is also expected to allow some passengers shorter access to the boarding gates, with the bus gates located directly below the lounge structure.
SWISS is upgrading its lounges in Zurich. Photo: SWISSIn the Senator Lounge, SWISS plans to add a bar positioned along the front of the windows, offering a 180-degree view of Runway 34, the apron, and the mountains.
The lounge will also include a dedicated wine refrigerator and a room for ripening cheeses and cured meats, reflecting the emphasis on characteristics associated with Swiss cuisine and hospitality.
With the opening of the new lounges, the existing SWISS Business and Senator lounges, as well as the SWISS Alpine Lounge on Platform A, will be closed.

As part of the modernization work, SWISS is also expected to move the SWISS First and HON Circle lounges from Platform A to Platform B during 2028. Further details on the move are expected to be announced later.
