United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Las Vegas After Engine Issue

United Airlines Flight 1403 landed in Las Vegas after its Boeing 757-200 crew reported an engine issue while flying from Los Angeles to Newark

A United Airlines flight landed safely at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas at around 7 a.m. local time on Thursday, August 27, after the crew reported an engine issue and was forced to make an emergency landing.

The Boeing 757-200 had departed from Los Angeles International Airport and was en route to Newark Liberty International Airport when the crew reported the problem.

The aircraft diverted to Las Vegas, where it landed safely. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it will investigate the incident.

The FAA directed passengers seeking additional information about the flight to contact United Airlines.
