Owned and developed by Grupo Megaterra, the hotel occupies a restored 1950s Art Deco building originally designed by Agustín Acevedo as a residential apartment complex. The property has been redesigned while retaining elements of its modernist heritage, combining its historic character with Motto by Hilton’s contemporary approach to urban travel.

The hotel is located just one block from Plaza Fundadores, considered the birthplace of Guadalajara. Guests can walk to several major attractions, including Teatro Degollado, Instituto Cultural Cabañas, Guadalajara Cathedral and San Juan Market.

Motto by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico features compact, flexible accommodations designed to make efficient use of space. Rooms include multifunctional furniture and Hilton’s Confirmed Connecting Room technology.

The hotel has 69 connecting rooms, with up to three rooms able to be connected. The setup is intended to make the property suitable for families, groups and travelers visiting Guadalajara together.

Local Food and Community Focus

The hotel’s public spaces are centered around two food and beverage concepts designed to appeal to both guests and local residents.

La BienQuerida is the hotel's full-service restaurant, offering locally inspired dishes and drinks with a modern interpretation of traditional Mexican cantina culture.

Meanwhile, Doña Elvira is a café serving traditional Mexican breads and artisanal coffee, providing another gathering space within the property.

Hilton said the concepts are part of Motto’s neighborhood-focused approach, encouraging visitors to experience the destination rather than simply using the hotel as a place to stay.

The new hotel also participates in Hilton Honors, giving members access to benefits including member discounts, flexible Points and Money booking options and complimentary standard Wi-Fi when booking through preferred Hilton channels. Guests can also use the Hilton Honors app for digital check-in, room selection and digital room access.

Hilton currently has more than 150 additional properties in the development pipeline across the region, underscoring its continued expansion in both urban and resort destinations.
