More Than Two Months After the Earthquake: International Flights to Venezuela Have Resumed

Venezuela officially confirms that Caracas International Airport has returned to commercial operations for domestic and international flights, after the June earthquakes

The main airport in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, is coming back to life, more than two months after the deadly earthquake that hit the country.

The operation is currently being carried out through temporary terminals covering an area of more than 10,000 square meters. According to Venezuela’s Minister of Transportation, in the first phase, about 25% of the air activity that existed before the disaster has been restored. The goal is to reach 40% within about two months and 60% by the end of the year.

Passengers have been instructed to arrive three hours before international flights and two hours before domestic flights. Authorities emphasize that radar systems, navigation aids, and operational infrastructure are operating within the temporary complex.
