AirAsia has announced its first codeshare with Pegasus Airlines, which will connect destinations in Southeast Asia with destinations in Europe via Istanbul.

In the first phase, the collaboration will include flights to destinations including London, Moscow, Ankara, Zurich and Athens.

The company noted that this is the first step in the collaboration, with more than 100 additional lines expected to be added to the destination network in the future.

As you may recall, earlier this year, AirAsia announced a huge acquisition of approximately 150 narrow-body aircraft, which will allow it to repurpose its wide-body aircraft for long-haul flights to Europe.
