Lithuania's airports continue to show growth in operations and financial results. In the first half of 2026, approximately 3.6 million passengers passed through the airports in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga, an increase of 9% from the same period in 2025. The number of flights at the three airports increased by 5% during this period.
Lietuvos oro uostai, the company that operates the three airports, had revenues of almost €37 million, up 9% compared to the first half of last year. Adjusted EBITDA rose 5% to €11.7 million.
A significant portion of the increase came from non-aviation revenue, which totaled almost €14 million, up about 13% from last year. The factors behind the increase include the expansion of retail space, rental activity, car parks and additional passenger services.

At the same time, work continues on upgrading the old departure terminal at Vilnius Airport. In addition, the company is advancing the design of the future landing terminal together with the international architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects.

Gintarė Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, Acting CEO of Lithuanian Airports, explained that the consistent growth in the number of passengers and the volume of flights have also been reflected in the financial results. The CEO added that the increasing revenues and profitability enable them to keep investing in infrastructure, while improving the passenger experience and strengthening the long-term competitiveness of the entire Lithuanian airport network.
