Photo: IHG Crowne Plaza by IHG has launched its new flagship hotel in the United States, Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square, located in the heart of Manhattan, steps from Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the Broadway Theater District and Central Park.
The 22-story hotel features 685 rooms with city views and was rebuilt on the basis of a historic building originally built for the 1964 New York World's Fair. The new design combines modern elements with local artwork and large murals.
At the heart of the hotel is Fifty-First Street Social, a New York-style restaurant and bar offering all-day dining, light fare and evening cocktails. There is also a 24/7 market with Grab & Go options and travel goods.
One of the highlights is the Plaza Workspace, a flexible space designed for work, meetings and social gatherings. The hotel also offers event and conference spaces, along with a dedicated concierge service.
On the upper floors is the Manhattan Level, featuring higher-end rooms and suites with sweeping skyline views. The highlight is the Broadway Suite, a 22nd-floor penthouse with a spacious balcony for special events and vacations.
The opening joins the renewal process of Crowne Plaza, which currently has more than 400 hotels worldwide and about 150 more in the pipeline.
