Xiamen Airlines has launched a new direct connection between Xiamen and London Heathrow, opening a new link between the UK capital and China’s Fujian Province.

Heathrow Airport welcomed the airline’s inaugural service on September 6, 2026, marking the start of a new route between the two cities. The service gives travelers a direct option between London and Xiamen, an important coastal city in southeastern China and the home base of Xiamen Airlines.

The new route will operate three times a week, with flights scheduled every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The connection is expected to provide additional travel options for passengers traveling between the UK and Fujian Province, as well as onward connections through Xiamen.

The launch also expands Heathrow’s network to China, strengthening links between London and one of the country’s major regions outside the traditional Beijing and Shanghai markets.
