The service is available to all passengers without requiring an account or registration. Travelers can book their security slot from four days before their flight until 60 minutes before arriving at security, subject to availability.
Currently, Prebook Security is available for passengers arriving at the airport between 3 AM and 3 PM.
Once at the airport, passengers with a reservation should follow the signs for “Prebook Security” and scan their boarding card at the designated gates. After entering the security area, they should follow the signs to the left, where a member of the security team will scan their booking QR code and direct them to the front of the Prebook Security queue.
The service is designed to make the airport experience more predictable by allowing passengers to reserve their place in advance rather than joining the standard security queue.
However, London Luton Airport stresses that booking a slot does not guarantee how long the actual security screening will take. Prebook Security operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and passengers will undergo the airport's normal security checks alongside other travelers using the service.
Passengers are therefore advised to arrive with enough time before their flight, even if they have booked a Prebook Security appointment.
