Spark by Hilton London Chiswick. Photo: Fraser at Sea / Shutterstock.com Hilton is expanding its value-focused Spark by Hilton brand in the UK with 10 new hotel signings across England and Wales, adding 672 rooms to the group's pipeline.
The hotels are expected to open between late 2026 and 2028 and will bring Spark by Hilton to several new markets, including Derby, Runcorn, Wakefield and Washington.
The expansion follows a strategic agreement with AG Hotels Group, a UK hotel owner and operator that is growing its portfolio through hotel acquisitions, repositioning and partnerships with international brands.
Photo: © 2026 HiltonThe new properties will be located in Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Doncaster, Hull, Peterborough, Runcorn, Sunderland, Wakefield and Washington.
For Hilton, the agreement also marks the arrival of Spark by Hilton in Wales. The 51-room Spark by Hilton Cardiff North will be located close to the A48 and M4 corridor, providing access to Cardiff's business and healthcare sectors as well as attractions including Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay and Principality Stadium.
Other properties target markets with strong business, manufacturing and logistics activity. The 100-room Spark by Hilton Derby Station will be located between Derby railway station and the city centre, while the Peterborough Norman Cross hotel will have 99 rooms and sit close to the A1(M).
The portfolio also includes a 63-room hotel near Sunderland's Northern Spire Bridge, a 77-room property at Monckton Business Park in Wakefield and a 79-room hotel between Newcastle and Sunderland in Washington.
Hotels in Doncaster, Hull and Runcorn will add further locations to the brand's UK network, with properties positioned close to transport links, employment centres, industrial areas and visitor attractions.
Paul Blackmore, vice president of development, UK & Ireland at Hilton, said the latest signings reflect growing demand for Spark by Hilton among hotel owners. He also highlighted the brand's first property in Wales as part of the expansion.
AG Hotels Group founder and CEO Girish Grover said the agreement forms part of the company's plans to build a larger UK hospitality platform through acquisitions, conversions and strategic partnerships.
Hilton is also preparing to bring Spark by Hilton to Scotland. The company recently signed an agreement with SMAR Hotels Ltd for a 53-room property in Dunfermline, around 17 miles northwest of Edinburgh. The hotel is due to undergo a full refurbishment before opening in late 2026.
The latest UK deals add to the wider expansion of Spark by Hilton, which launched in 2023. The brand has recently announced growth in Italy and Spain and its debut in Saudi Arabia.
Hilton says Spark by Hilton now has more than 275 open hotels worldwide, with more than 200 additional properties in its development pipeline.
The brand is designed to support hotel conversions, allowing existing properties to be repositioned under the Spark by Hilton name while gaining access to Hilton's commercial platform and Hilton Honors loyalty program.
With the latest agreements, Hilton continues to expand Spark beyond major UK cities into regional markets supported by business travel, manufacturing, logistics, and leisure demand.
