Korean Air is preparing to launch a new in-flight Wi-Fi service based on Starlink satellite technology. The service is expected to be available free of charge in all passenger classes on aircraft equipped with the system.
The company is expected to be the first airline in East Asia with a full-service airline model to offer Starlink-based Wi-Fi to its passengers.
The new connectivity is expected to allow passengers to use the Internet during the flight for work, browsing, streaming content and gaming, thus improving network connection options even during long flights.
The service will not be available immediately on all of the company's aircraft, but rather on flights operated on aircraft in which the system has been installed.
