The Air France Foundation will support 44 nonprofit projects around the world during 2026 and 2027, with initiatives expected to benefit more than 66,000 children and young people facing poverty, illness or disability.
Improving Living Conditions
The program was approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and will cover projects in France, Africa, Asia and Latin America. The initiatives focus on education, social inclusion, pathways toward employment and environmental awareness.
According to the Foundation, the projects share a focus on improving the living conditions and future prospects of young people through solutions adapted to the needs of local communities.
The selected projects and nonprofit organizations went through an assessment process that considered factors including their expected impact, viability and transparency. New applications were also evaluated against the Foundation’s priorities.
The Foundation operates in countries served by Air France, allowing it to work with local Air France teams and maintain relationships with partner organizations. Employees in those locations can also help monitor the projects supported by the Foundation.
New Initiative to Highlight Employees
Alongside its main grant program, the Air France Foundation launched a new internal initiative in 2026 called Boost ton Asso!.
The program was created to highlight Air France employees who are involved with nonprofit organizations. More than 100 applications were submitted for its first edition.
The Foundation reviewed the applications based on social impact, feasibility and local relevance. Shortlisted projects were then put to a vote among Air France employees before their sponsors presented them to a panel of Foundation Board members.
Six projects were ultimately selected and added to the Foundation’s 2026–2027 program.
One of them is a project run by Mekong Plus, a nonprofit organization working in Vietnam to fight poverty through education and initiatives designed to improve living conditions.
The project was submitted by Aurélie G., a Financial Communications Manager at Air France, who became involved with Mekong Plus after discovering the organization during a trip to Vietnam to adopt her daughter.
“I was deeply moved when Mekong Plus was selected as one of the six winning projects,” she said. “This recognition gives fresh momentum to a project that is particularly close to my heart and celebrates the commitment of everyone who brings it to life.”
The Foundation said the new program reflects its continued focus on vulnerable children and young people, combining long-term support with local knowledge.
The 44 projects will be carried out with nonprofit partners across the four regions during 2026 and 2027.
