Emirates is bringing a taste of Oktoberfest back to its flights and airport lounges in Germany, with a seasonal menu running from September 19 through October 4.

The airline will serve Bavarian-inspired dishes on flights between Dubai and Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Hamburg, with the special menus available to passengers in all cabin classes.

The Oktoberfest offering will be served during lunch and dinner on three daily flights between Dubai and Frankfurt, as well as the two daily services connecting Dubai with each of the other three German cities.

Passengers in First Class will have several German-inspired options, including beef consommé with marrow dumplings, duck liver terrine and sauerbraten prepared with Wagyu steak and braised beef cheeks. Another option combines spiced roast chicken with potato pavé, Obatzter and caramelised apples.

Desserts include Kaiserschmarrn with plum compote and cinnamon crème anglaise or traditional apple strudel.

Business Class passengers will also find Oktoberfest dishes on the menu, including braised beef short ribs or beef cheeks, followed by baked cheesecake or apple strudel. Premium Economy includes braised beef cheeks with Bavarian accompaniments.

In Economy Class, the seasonal selection includes chicken bratwurst in puff pastry with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, as well as chicken with paprika cream sauce. Black Forest cake is offered on selected flights.

First Class passengers flying from Dubai to Germany will receive an Oktoberfest-themed gingerbread heart before landing. On the return journey, an Oktoberfest movie snack will feature smoked turkey, beef salami, Obatzter, Emmental and cream cheese, egg, radishes, cornichons and mini pretzels.

Sweet options include Oktoberfest gingerbread, Black Forest cake, plum cake, German cheesecake and doughnuts.

The Oktoberfest menu will also be available in Emirates Lounges at Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Hamburg airports.

At the Hamburg lounge, the selection includes freshly baked pretzels, smoked trout served with Munich-style potato salad, and Backhendl with wild mushroom cream sauce and pretzel dumplings. A vegan Bavarian cream with caramelised apple is available for dessert, alongside Oktoberfest beer.

Lounges in Munich, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf will offer dishes including braised beef cheeks with onions and potato dumplings, potato noodles with sauerkraut, Bavarian skewers and fruit covered in white and dark chocolate.

The seasonal offering runs across the four German destinations until October 4, giving Emirates passengers another way to experience some familiar Oktoberfest flavors before or during their journey.
