Photo: American Airlines American Airlines, in partnership with Make-A-Wish and Disney, recently flew 14 children and their families from the Philadelphia area for a special vacation at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, as part of Wish Flight, an initiative that makes the journey to wish fulfillment an integral part of the experience.
The event kicked off at Philadelphia International Airport, where American Airlines and Make-A-Wish volunteers awaited the families. The airport was decorated in a festive atmosphere, and children enjoyed a slime booth, face painting, balloon art and a dance floor.

Photo: American AirlinesThe families also received Disney-themed headphones and boarded a chartered plane operated by volunteer American Airlines pilots and flight attendants. Upon landing in Orlando, the families were given another welcome by American Airlines staff and volunteers.
The "Wish Flight" was launched in 2023 with the goal of making the flight itself part of the wish fulfillment. All the children who participated in the journey wanted to go to Disney World.

Photo: American AirlinesAs part of the long-standing partnership between Make-A-Wish and Disney, more than 175,000 wishes related to visits to Disney properties have been granted since 1980. During this visit, the families will spend six nights and five days at Give Kids The World Village, a non-profit resort that hosts children facing serious illnesses and their families.
