As of 04:59 GMT (04:59 in Iceland), the Keflavik Airport live flight schedule shows a long line of Icelandair flights that were canceled during the day.
According to the airport's flight schedule, among the flights and destinations already marked as "cancelled" are Amsterdam, London Heathrow, Copenhagen, Oslo, Rome, Malaga, Manchester, Dublin, Stockholm, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich and Helsinki, along with other destinations.
However, it is important to clarify that Keflavík Airport itself is not closed. Foreign airlines continue to operate flights from the airport, including easyJet, Finnair, Air Canada, Delta and United. The disruptions currently concern Icelandair operations and do not constitute a shutdown of aviation in Iceland as a whole.
Keflavik Airport continues to publish the official announcement that Icelandair technicians have declared an indefinite strike, and recommends that the company's passengers not arrive at the airport before verifying in advance that their flight is taking place.
Icelandair passengers are asked to follow Keflavik's live flight schedule as well as updates from the airline, as flight status may change throughout the day.
