Air India is expanding its international network. Photo: Air India Air India and flydubai have signed a reciprocal interline agreement, which also includes a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA). The collaboration is designed to expand connectivity between the two airlines’ flight networks and enable passengers to reach additional destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions.
Under the agreement, Air India passengers will be able to reach 52 additional destinations on the flydubai network via Dubai International Airport. The destinations include six in Africa, two in the Commonwealth of Independent States, 23 in Europe and 21 in the Middle East.
At the same time, flydubai passengers will have access to 69 destinations on Air India's network, via Delhi and Mumbai airports. The destinations include points in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and India.
The interline agreement allows the two airlines to combine flights within a single itinerary, depending on the terms of the agreement and route availability. Through the collaboration, the companies seek to expand passengers' onward travel options and connect their flight networks.
