Photo: Emily Marie Wilson / Shutterstock.com The Philippines’ flag carrier and the country’s only full-service network airline, Philippine Airlines, has today, September 25, announced that it will launch nonstop flights from Manila to Delhi and Mumbai in December 2026, opening new direct connections between the Philippines and two of India’s largest cities.
The new services are subject to approval from the Indian government. If approved, they will give travelers from the Philippines direct access to Delhi, the Indian capital, and Mumbai, the country’s financial and commercial center.
“Opening services to Delhi and Mumbai strengthens PAL’s network in one of Asia’s most dynamic economies,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall.
“These routes will create new opportunities for Filipinos to explore India while supporting the growing movement of travelers, businesses and goods between our two countries.”
The Manila-Delhi service will operate three times a week under flight PR642, departing Manila every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:40 p.m. and arriving in Delhi at 3:00 a.m. the following day.

PAL will also launch a four-times-weekly service between Manila and Mumbai.
Flight PR646 will depart Manila every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:40 p.m., arriving in Mumbai at 3:05 a.m. the following day. The return PR647 service will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, departing Mumbai at 7:15 a.m. and arriving in Manila at 5:00 p.m.
All schedules are in local time.
PAL plans to operate the new India services with its 168-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft.
PAL A321 neo. Photo: Sergey Kustov / Shutterstock.comThe aircraft is configured with 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy Class seats. Passengers will have access to PAL’s full-service offering, including inflight meals and entertainment.
The new flights will also add cargo capacity between the Philippines and India, allowing shipments to connect with PAL’s wider international cargo network.
The airline already lists Delhi and Mumbai among its destinations and flight search pages, although the new nonstop services are still subject to the required approvals.
Mumbai, India. Photo: ShutterstockFor Filipino travelers, Delhi provides access to some of India’s best-known historical landmarks as well as the country’s political center and northern regions. Mumbai is a major business and financial hub, while also playing a central role in India’s entertainment and cultural industries.
Filipino passport holders can also use India’s e-Visa system when eligible, providing an additional option for arranging travel to the country.
The planned routes would expand PAL’s network in South Asia while creating new nonstop links for passengers traveling between the Philippines and India.
