Delhi Airport has opened a new robotic café at Terminal 3, introducing an automated coffee service for passengers departing from or passing through the Indian airport.

Called Robo Brewing Co., the café is located near Gate 42. According to Delhi Airport, a robotic arm prepares customer orders in approximately two to three minutes, offering travelers a different way to get refreshments before their flights.

The opening adds another technology-focused service to Terminal 3, one of the main terminals at Indira Gandhi International Airport, which serves domestic and international flights.

Automated cafés use robotics to handle parts of the preparation process, from dispensing ingredients to assembling drinks. These systems can help standardize preparation and offer passengers a quick service option, although actual waiting times may vary depending on demand and the order.

For travelers, the new café offers the chance to watch a robotic arm prepare their order while they wait near their departure gate. The airport's announcement did not specify whether the service will expand to other terminals.

In August, the airport also teased an upcoming feature that promises to change the way travelers interact with the airport.

In a brief social media post, Delhi Airport announced that the way passengers connect with Delhi Airport is about to change. The announcement was accompanied by a short video showing a chat-style interface, hinting at a new digital service or communication platform aimed at enhancing the experience.

The preview showed a conversation with a virtual assistant answering a question about restaurants at the airport before the screen changed to the words "Coming Soon," prompting speculation that the airport may be preparing to introduce an AI-powered chatbot or another digital customer service tool.
