Singapore Airlines' Economy Class was recently named the "World's Best Economy Class" by Skytrax. So what is it about Singapore Airlines' Economy Class that makes it so special?
1 | Extra Large Screen Entertainment System
One of the most notable features is the KrisWorld entertainment system, which is installed on personal screens in the backs of the seats. Some aircraft offer 11.1-inch HD touch screens, while others have different specifications. Depending on the type of aircraft and the system installed, passengers can choose from a wide range of movies, TV series, music, games and other content. Some aircraft have a remote control.
2 | More Comfortable Seats
Singapore Airlines' Economy Class seats feature adjustable headrests and, on some aircraft, a contoured neck support. Those who want extra legroom can opt for Extra Legroom seats, for an additional fee and subject to availability. Another option is Forward Zone seats, which are located at the front of Economy Class and allow for earlier disembarkation.
3 | Fine cuisine
Food is one of the areas the company emphasizes. Passengers receive meal and beverage service depending on the route and service operated on the flight, and can pre-order special meals according to medical, dietary or religious needs, including kosher, vegetarian meals and meals for children and infants (special dishes must be pre-ordered).

Some of the company's aircraft are equipped with USB sockets for charging personal devices, and in some models also with power sockets. The company also offers in-flight Wi-Fi service, with access conditions and eligibility for free connection depending on the type of ticket, passenger status and aircraft. So far, it's pretty standard. But the company allows passengers to browse a digital menu before the flight, and on some aircraft also during the flight via the entertainment system with meal selection options and additional preferences.
