Wizz Air continues to expand its international operations, this time not by opening new routes or stationing aircraft at additional bases, but by making a strategic move in sales and distribution.

The low-cost company and Amadeus, one of the world's leading technology companies for the travel industry, announced a new agreement, under which Wizz Air's flight content will be available for the first time through the Amadeus Travel Platform.

The move is expected to expand Wizz Air's exposure to travel agents, corporate travel management companies, online travel agencies, tour operators and other companies that use Amadeus systems to sell travel services.

As part of the agreement, Wizz Air will use the Amadeus Ticketless Access solution, which allows airlines operating in a traditional ticketless model to distribute their products through the existing travel agent environment.

This means that agents in the markets where the service will be launched will be able to search and book Wizz Air flights through the Amadeus system, alongside products from other airlines.

The service will allow access not only to flight prices, but also to service packages and related products offered by the low-cost company, depending on the content that will be accessed through the platform.

For travel agencies, this is an opportunity to expand the range of products available for booking through the work processes they already use, without having to switch between different sales systems.

One of the key aspects of the agreement is the expansion of Wizz Air’s access to the corporate travel market. Through Amadeus’ distribution network, the company will also be able to present its products to corporate travel management companies and entities responsible for booking flights for organizations and companies.

Wizz Air has so far focused largely on direct sales and other distribution channels, and is now looking to deepen its presence in the booking systems used by professional travel agents. The current agreement could allow the company to reach additional customer groups and expand its commercial activity through indirect sales channels.

Wizz Air: Making Our Flights More Accessible

Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air's Chief Commercial Officer & Executive VP, explained that the company is looking for new ways to make its route network and prices accessible to a larger number of passengers.

According to her, making Wizz Air products accessible for the first time through the Amadeus Travel Platform will allow a wide network of travel agents to gain access to the company's fares and related services, thereby increasing the accessibility of its offerings. Amadeus also emphasizes that the collaboration is designed to make it easier for travel agents to offer a wider range of airlines and prices through their existing systems.

Elena Avila, Senior Vice President of Travel Distribution at Amadeus, noted that the inclusion of Wizz Air on the platform will expand travel agents' choices and support the company's expansion strategy in indirect distribution channels.

The agreement may also matter for the Israeli travel market, where Wizz Air is a well-known low-cost carrier and Amadeus is an important technology platform in the tourism industry.

However, the official announcement states that the distribution of Wizz Air products will be carried out at this stage only in selected markets and the companies have not published the list of countries where the service will be available.

As you may recall, in August 2025, we reported on Passport News about an agreement between Wizz Air and Travelfusion, which was intended to expand the distribution of the company's flight prices through a technological connection to travel providers and booking platforms.

The new agreement with Amadeus is another step in the same direction, but this time through one of the main distribution platforms used by the professional travel industry worldwide.

For Wizz Air, this is a move that expands its sales strategy beyond direct channels and strengthens its ability to reach customers who prefer to book flights through a travel agent or an organizational travel management system.
