Ryanair will introduce an earlier airport bag drop deadline across its network from November 10, requiring passengers checking in luggage to drop their bags at least 60 minutes before their scheduled departure.
The airline announced the reminder on October 27, confirming that the new cutoff will replace the current 40-minute deadline. The change was first announced in April and will apply at all Ryanair airports.
The revised deadline is intended to give passengers travelling with checked baggage more time to get through airport security and passport control, particularly during busy travel periods when queues can delay their progress to departure gates.

Passengers who do not check in luggage will not be affected. Ryanair said the remaining 80% of its customers can continue checking in online before travelling to the airport and proceed directly to security.
Ryanair Chief Marketing Officer Dara Brady urged passengers using airport bag drop services to arrive in good time and complete the process before the revised deadline.
“From Tues, 10 Nov, bag drop services at all Ryanair airports will close 60 minutes before scheduled departure, instead of the current 40 minutes,” Brady said.
He added that the extra time should help passengers reach their departure gates before boarding begins, especially when airport queues are longer.
The change applies to the airport bag drop deadline, not the departure time itself. Passengers travelling with checked baggage should therefore allow enough time to complete bag drop, security screening and any required passport checks before heading to their gates.
